Description

Welcome to the Human Services Financial Health Professional Certification Program. This online course is one of several online components in this program. The topic of this course is Planning for Security in Later Years.

The chronic stress and emotional response associated with forecasting a survival-based or less-than-satisfying fourth quarter in life (“Q4”), can be impactful to our health and well-being. Rather than be at the mercy of the emotional response and feeling depressed, envisioning a limited life last quarter, let’s turn it into resilience and start from another place: Dream a little, plan a lot, and enjoy a fulfilling Q4!

In this course, we'll discuss a straightforward approach to planning for Q4, even if you feel like it's too late to start. It's never too late to start! We'll provide several ideas on what you can do now, and in retirement, to create a Q4 that includes your dreams, but is within your means. The ideas and exercises included in this course will support you to think creatively, and to use the assets you have and can build upon, especially if you don't have a lot saved, to fulfill your Q4 dreams. You can use the ideas and exercises in this course for yourself, and, to encourage your clients who may be worried about their options for creating a satisfying Q4.
