Description

Welcome to the Human Services Financial Health Professional Certification Program. This online course is one of several online components in this program. The topic of this course is Leveraging Environment and Community Assets. 

During this 12th section of the program, we’ll discuss the process of building on your assets to cushion economic shocks and grow your financial health. We will look at navigating the human services system, including benefits, housing programs, and community support.

After taking this course, you’ll be able to:

• Understand the role of assets in cushioning economic shocks

• Recognize the role of savings in reducing stress and creating peace of mind

• Understand loss aversion and the way it impacts clients when moving off of benefits

• Consider housing programs as significant resources within the human services system, and

• Understand the benefits of coordinating services with other providers
