Description

The Entry Level Management Training Program curriculum was developed to provide a basic understanding of what it means to be an entry level manager. It was created for people with little to no leadership or management experience, and want to gain those skills.

Objectives

At the end of the six sections, learners will:

  • Be able to demonstrate increased knowledge of common terms, definitions, and activities used in the management field
  • Understand basic management skills as evidenced by their increased score from pre- to post-test
  • Gain confidence in the area of management
  • Demonstrate improved communication skills as they relate to entry level management, evidenced by role-playing situations and directly following each session
  • Build confidence in teambuilding, as evidenced by instructor observation during and at completion of the series
  • Understand quality customer service
  • Understand and accept appropriate ethics of entry level management
  • Be able to facilitate appreciative inquiry methods of planning
  • Be considered for entry level management positions for employment
