Welcome to the Human Services Financial Health Professional Certification Program. This online course is one of several online components in this program. The topic of this course is Assets, Income & Time. In this course, we’ll discuss assets, and the importance of assets for achieving economic stability. We’ll also discuss income and time, which are often considered the primary barriers to achieving goals.

After taking this course, you’ll be able to

  • Work with clients to build assets, to stabilize income, and to provide a cushion for economic shocks
  • Support clients to learn about community resources to build personal assets
  • Incorporate financial exercises to increase awareness of relationships among your money, time and behaviors
  • Use the time-value of income and time-value of expenses exercises with clients, to help them make better spending choices
